About Us

Our Story

We have sat across the table from a lot of publishers who built something they believed in — and then watched it quietly fall apart.

Not dramatically. Just slowly. A closed restaurant still live on the homepage. An article linking somewhere that no longer exists. A reader who stopped trusting the directory, and never said why.

Every time, the story was the same. The tools weren’t built for them. The maintenance never ended. And somewhere along the way, the directory that was supposed to generate revenue started consuming the energy needed to run the rest of the publication.

Local publishers do important work. CopperEats makes sure their restaurant directories can keep up with it — accurate by design, built to earn revenue, and free from the manual upkeep that quietly competes with everything else. Check out our blog

We built CopperEats because local restaurant coverage deserves infrastructure that works as hard as the journalists behind it. Ready to see what it can do for your directory?

Why We Built This

We are CopperEats — a subsidiary of CopperPress.tech, a fractional CTO firm that has spent over 20 years working inside small and mid-sized publishing operations. We have seen how these teams actually work, where capacity breaks, and what it costs when a good idea doesn’t have the right infrastructure underneath it.

We built CopperEats because the publishers we work with deserved better. A restaurant directory platform built specifically for them — one that handles the operational work so they can focus on the editorial work.

That is still the whole idea.
